Hey look what I found ! Finally someone posts the importance of phytoremediation . Industrial hemp eats radiation . Well thats a start. Yes cannabis as well as industrial hemp both handle radiation very well. In the human body, consuming cannabis is suggested all the same as iodine , in the removal of radioactive build up . Likes to cling to the bones ya know,.. So yes that is why the government gave it the go,.. I wrote about this at least a year ago , when Colorado (before recreational cannabis was past) , actually passed a bill to phytoremediate the higher levels of the Rocky Mountains (March 2013) .This was shortly after Radiation and radioactive waste from FUKASHIMA was detected across the pacific. Hemp is not the only foliage that can be used in phytoremediation , sunflowers are also very responsive to extracting heavy metals (science class lingo) out of the soil . Unfortunately in places such as chernynobl , where this process was notably used , the effects of such a disaster has its impacts on wildlife. The animals tend to evolve to adapt , not to say without suffering , .
