Hey lovelies.. I want you to all know what each of you mean to - TopicsExpress

Hey lovelies.. I want you to all know what each of you mean to me, both on a business and a personal level. Earlier in the year, I became very sick and was hospitalized. I was in and out of hospital for about 3 months. I was unable to walk, shower alone, or take care of my 3 children. Ray had to finish up at work to become my carer. Unfortunately being a kiwi, he was unable to access any carer payment, I was unable to get disability (as the drs didnt even know what I had) and we were absolutely stuffed financially. It was then that we decided to give this business 100%. We were running as a co-op until then, and had very minimal orders, and werent making any profit - we were just happy to get some free veggies every week. After 8 months and after seeing approx 25 drs (many specialists who were charging upwards of $200 a visit) I finally got a diagnosis. I have POTS. The drs dont know enough about it to treat it and there is no cure. I have good days and I have bad days, but this year has taught me one thing.. that we have to be appreciative for what we have. We had a community that were ready to support us. To put their trust into us, and every single purchase helped us survive another week. As time went on, I was really struggling with my diagnosis and resigning to the fact that Im only one person, and at less than 100% health, how could I get this business to a level where we could really make a difference? I was taught about a little thing called - belief - and that this community had that for me. Unwaivering support. Overwhelming support. You all believe that Indigo Whispers has value to bring to this world, and werent going to let me just give up. Now I understand with your help, it IS achievable. The vision I have for this group, and for Indigo Whispers sometimes seems so big, but I now know that it is feasible and that we can do this together. Ray and I are still learning so much - we are so new to this business (less than a year into the veggies side), but we are learning AND growing everyday. We are listening to every single bit of feedback, and we are doing the best we can to make those changes as quick as we can. We appreciate you making the decision to purchase from us so much, not only for my family (on a personal level) but for farmers, for the community, for the future vision we have, for those in need, for the environment, and for so many other reasons... Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to each and every single one of you and your families. Thank you for being on this journey with us.
