Hey my fellow classmates!!!! Its election time, and theres no excuse not to vote! And while youre at it, vote for Brian! Why should you vote for Brian? Heres why! (Ill keep it short cause I know were all busy) Reasons you should: • Brian ran for city council 3 times... and won 3 times (for a total of 11 years) • Hes for the LRT (Light Rail Transit [monorail - ish thing]) which will literally help every single student #GoodbyeCrowdedBuses • Hes McMasters city councillor (Ward 1) so hes been representing us at City Hall (Westdale is one of, if not the, nicest area in Hamilton so clearly he knows what hes doing) • He was a lecturer at McMaster • He has a Bachelors in Enviro Science and a Masters in City Planning #SoMuchSmart • He will get youth more involved in the city by opening up more opportunities, solely for youth • He will turn Cootes (Macs beautiful backyard) into a National Park so it can finally be safe from polluters and gross corporations • Hes on so many committees such as Macs Presidents Advisory Committee, Centre for Civic Inclusion, Farmers Market, Board of Health, Committee Against Racism, etc Reasons not to vote for his competitors: • His two main competitors are Fred and Brad, they both ran for the Harper Conservatives... and lost.... each time #Lol • Someone came up with the idea that we should build a huge garbage burning incinerator right at the lake #wtf • Not only would this burn Hamiltons garbage, but we would be shipping in garbage all across the GTA!! Do you want to be known as Ontarios landfill?? • Fred is not against this, and has no comment #sketchy • Brad is for it!!! (I guess he likes the smell of burning garbage) • You should also not vote for Brad because hes against the LRT (which the province is paying for, so clearly he needs to sit down) • Fred was Hamiltons mayor (barely won) back in 2006, but we kicked him out! He had so many scandals and was caught violating the Citys code of conduct #Corrupt. So dont let him back in! I hope yall understand why your vote is so important, literally every single one of you will make a difference. By the way, Im not being paid, Im not getting volunteer hours or anything like that. Im just another student like you whos ready to see real change in this city. SO, remember a vote for Brain is a vote for McMaster, the Environment, Students and Hamilton!
