Hey... really pray today please! Hillman Cancer Center called yesterday .Several medicines have a side effect that cause the heart to take longer to recover . Mike had passed the qualifications then had an electrical abnormality holding everything up. I stopped his heart meds with cardiovascular drs. approval and had it replaced with a drug that will not raise the QT Prolongation . Also stopped anti cholesterol drug, stomach meds & lowered his Zoloft by half. Told him if he feels suicidal ignore it... Lol Lowering Zoloft can cause some mood swing. So the drug induced QT Prolongation was lowered from 478-485 micro seconds(500 is the limit) to 424-444 putting him in a safe limit. An answer to prayers. The drug Crizinotib can raise the QT Prolongation (the time it takes heart to recover after a beat) so hopefully when he gets it the side effects are minimal. He is very irritable but I think its mostly not knowing whats happening. One of the tumors is bigger than a golf ball and hurts. He also sprained his shoulder muscle to help me carry stuff. He was thinking it was the cancer till I showed him it was a muscle. Dr. Villaruz convinced Pfizer Drs to allow Mike into the trial since we got his QT prolongation to drop. Its not definite but its not no. Tommorow he has to go back to eye Dr. Specialist to have diameter of pupil measured. Evidently this drug can cause some temporary eye flashes and raise QT prolongation . After a blood test and another Ecg if all is right then chemo starts tommorow. Prayers and Gods mercy that Mike gets the right medication and cancer goes away. Love & thanks for your continued faithful gift of prayer for us.
