Hey, so, for the parents out there, I have a serious question. I hear a lot of dialogue on the the permissive/authoritative/authoritarian model, etc etc about the proper way to raise sons that wont be bangers and daughters that wont be total whores. Does it really need to be that indepth? My Dad was a good man that was always completely fair and led by example, and when I messed up the punishment was swift and sometimes brutal. Then, it was back to being my Dad. I guess you could call it the electric fence style of parenting. When did that stop being the best model?
