Hey students....especially those who went up to Opal Creek this past year...remember we talked about making "life changes".....are you doing that? I went into the old growth woods tonight. I saw a disposable lighter on the gravel road. I picked it up and thought: would my students pick it up. Do they realize the contagious power of conviction of ethics? When we went to the coast....we brought back all our recyclables and we picked up any plastic we saw on the beach. Barb, my friend and I talked about not making excuses. "Oh, I am busy....so I will use disposable plates just tonight". It is all about conviction. I hope that is the best thing I "taught in class." You must live what you believe. At all times. It really matters.
