Hey there. Kitty for adoption to a good, loving home - with no other cats. Free with the paperwork we got when we got him from shelter. We Boots from the shelter on March 2nd. From what we were told, he was friendly and got along with other pets. Said he was 8 years old. We already have 2 cats and several (!) Other pets. From what we have experienced so far, and I have spent A LOT of time with him, he is afraid of most people and other animals. He hides most of the time... doesnt come out much when Shane is home and runs for cover when Shane or anyone else comes around. I was holding him when our son, Casey, stayed over a week ago and Casey just stood up to try to say hi and I got some serious scratches on my face. I know it was because he is scared. His rear end is VERY VERY sensitive. When I am petting him, he will tolerate my just resting my hand on his hip area lightly. We are pretty sure he was abused. To ME it seems he was abused by a male because he will let me approach him and sometimes come to me. He is defensive around men and has left scratches when not given enough time to adapt to someone. Also, our cats we already had have been in a couple scuffles since Boots came home because Spook is territorial about Boots. Kitty existence is in turmoil. I have patience to deal with Boots and his issues BUT we have grandbabies that visit and we are afraid they may get scratched and end up not liking cats. Boots just needs a very loving, gentle, quiet existence. We are gentle with our pets but in general it is loud and busy and crazy here! We didnt want him to be put down so we took him in. Just isnt adapting well to our crazy, hectic family life. His rear end is sensitive, we dont know if it is because he was abused or if he has hip issues. Like I said, with much patience and tenderness, he will let me keep my hand gently on his hind end. There has to be a perfect home out there for Boots somewhere. He comes out and sits in windows and on back of sofa when he is most comfortable. He is very loving and loves attention... comes out and makes himself available when he needs some rubbins. :) Anyone know anyone who knows someone who can give Boots the exclusive, attentive environment he so well deserves? FB Message or text/call me 775-299-9701 I love all my babies and this just kills me, but if he can be truly happy and content, that is what is most important.
