Hey they finally wrote about me in the Detroit Free Press today (well they published my Letter to the Editor)... Join march to get action on climate change On Aug. 11, major flooding hit metro Detroit, and neither the infrastructure nor authorities were prepared for such havoc. Multiple severe thunderstorms have cost hundreds of thousands to lose power, flooded homes and turned highways into rivers. We broke our all-time snowfall record this past winter, as well. Why can’t anyone just call it what it is: climate change? This is the prediction that scientists have been issuing warnings about. The White House Climate Assessment Report broke down the regional impact of climate change and reported that the Midwest had become 37% wetter and will continue to do so. On Sept. 21, more than 1,000 organizations are planning a March on New York, where world leaders are hosting a summit on climate change. It is said to be the largest climate march in history. It needs to be. Every great movement took people on the streets demanding change. I will be leading metro Detroit’s bus to the march. Join me. Go to climatetalkradio for info.
