Hey, this is the Chaplain again. Well as I’m sure you know this Sunday is Mother’s Day. And maybe you know this is the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day as a national holiday. The Lord blessed me with two very special ladies in my life: my wife and my mother. My mother is now with the Lord, but her influence continues. In Prov. chapter 31 God describes a godly woman and mother. She is . . . worth far more than diamonds. . . She speaks wisely. She teaches faithfully. She watches over family. She is busy all the time. Her children stand up and call her blessed. . . Charm can fool you. Beauty fades. But a woman (and mother) who has respect for the Lord should be praised. Give her the reward she has earned.” (vs 10-31) We all know that the most powerful force in the universe is the Omnipotence of God… Perhaps the second strongest force in the universe is a Mother’s love. And it is by the means of prayer that these two dynamic forces can be combined into one of the greatest influences for good the world will ever know – A PRAYING MOTHER. What could have more positive, eternal results than a mother’s love, coupled by prayer, to the power of God? A godly praying mother will do more for a child than all the financial, social, or educational opportunities in the world. Mother’s prayers can make up for a lack of almost anything. Mother, there are few things you can do for your child that will mean as much as knowing that their mother is praying for them. Be somebody great; be a praying mother. Your children, and indeed the world, desperately need you. Maybe that’s something for you to pray about. If you’d like to talk to someone about spiritual things, you can call Chaplain Paul at (479) 264-6146, or email: chaplain.northcut@gmail . I’d love to talk and pray with you, anytime. May the Lord, Jesus Christ, draw you always closer to Himself.
