Hey, very seldom use facebook, in fact never. But can I urge anyone out there to sign the partition to ban tail docking. It defies belief that the goverment has at last addressed the ancient laws for the protection of animals bringing us in line with other european countries. The most important part is the law against the mulitation of animals, which is designed to stop tail docking as in all other countries, although there are exceptions to this rule to allow the likes of sheep tail been docked, for health reasons, and the branding of cows for identification. However our goverment in their infinite wisdom choose to put tail docking in as an exemption too, only could happen in Ireland!! Tail docking is so unnessary, and dogs of course feel pain, vets wont cut a dogs tail off, or they could be struck off, so it is left to the owners, breeders, to use a knife or sissors to chop off the tail of a two or three day old pup without anesthetic, this is the same as chopping off a babys finger, just to have it look a certain way. So please go onto the link and put your name down, and hopefully it will get the powers that be to rewrite that clause before its too late, thanks
