Besides the fab hotel, the great panels, the cool networking and the awesome authors reception, there will be our legendary JAWS AUCTION! And you never what great items will be up for bidding -- or where it will lead! In 2012, Katherine Ann Rowlands brought prints from Oakland artist James Gayles...I bid on one, and not only won the print, but met and later collaborated with the artist on his new book, Reflections (see photos below). A JAWS win-win-win, I would say. Another great thing about the JAWS auction is that you can bid on certain items right from your computer. Want that perfect vacation in Mexico or a private dinner for eight with our very own Peggy Simpson? Love wine? Need advice about how to pitch to magazines? Dying for that one-to-one Twitter training? We will have all of these and more exciting items to bid on for our 2nd Annual Online Auction.Bidding for the online auction begins on Friday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. PST and ends on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. PST. Bidding will be open to the public so friends and family can join in the fun. But there will be exclusive items available only to JAWS members. Want to donate items?
