Hey. yall. I plan to get to the next meeting so I can pay my dues and be a member. Just wanted to throw a couple of things out here. I just ordered the ARF in the photo here; Great Planes You Can Do. It seems that is has a wing loading of 12 oz and is suitable for a first low wing model with short throws on the control surfaces. That is a trainer wing loading. Of course it is also capable of insane 3D. But since I am a beginner I am starting with a foamy electric three channel plane. I plan to build my Sig Kadet LT 25 as my first four channel trainer. Would of course like some pointers from some experienced flyers when I get out to the field. Dont really want to crash it. On the other hand, if I am going to need some assistance with the first four channel, then perhaps I can just start with the ARF? It seems that it can be a good trainer because of the light wing loading. The Great Planes folks say that. I would like some of you comments on how to start learning. It would be faster to get the ARF up and running vs building the Sig. I have a bunch of kits here that I can build but I DO want to actually fly.
