Hi- Im a artist/writer and I have an idea...dont know if this post is gonna make it through, but on the off chance, I need feedback on this. Has anyone belonged to a studio before? Published under a company banner? My idea is this; a bunch of creators get together under a single studio banner. No money exchanges hands, all are responsible for their own publishing/printing under the Studio name. All retain ownership/copyrights et al to their own works.Everybody (lets say 3 creators) gives up 2-3 pages in their individual books to advertise their studiomates books. Con appearances could work similarly, having room on the table for the studios books, made available at a discount so a profit could be made. A website could be involved, cross promoting the titles. With the right creators involved the benefits could be enormous, the downside marginal. Has anyone ever tried anything like this?
