Hi APK Family! Life update for you. Im very excited to be a part of an upcoming documentary/campaign called Board Of Media which focuses on action sports and the media, especially the representation of women. I am one of the featured athletes and I was just in London this weekend shooting a parkour bit and doing an interview with the crew there. I am so excited about this project. They have a ton of incredible female athletes on board (get it? on board) and I cant wait to see what comes out of it all. Girls dont have a lot of positive images to look up to in action sports (think skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, etc.) and we want to change that through initiatives like this. Im also super excited to have parkour included because it will give it more exposure as a lifestyle and hopefully inspire more girls to get outside and move, any way they choose. Why should you care if youre a guy? Think about the kind of images you want your sister, cousin, daughter, wife, mother, etc. to be exposed to in the media. Do you want them to jump around with you outside? Be inspired to get on the mountain, wave, skatepark, etc. instead of watching from the sidelines? I could talk for hours about this, but Ill stop there. You can read about it on the indiegogo page and watch the pledge video (you may see me for a few seconds). It would mean the world to me if you could show us some support however you can whether thats donating or just sharing and spreading the stoke.
