Hi AS! Most of you know me, but my name is Monte Richardson and I am a community organizer in IV. As most of you know, I am in the final stages of creating a community resource guide for Isla Vista! Im excited to partner with UCSB for its creation. :) I wanted to let you all know that I will be at the Isla Vista Food Co-op patio all day today, to meet with community leaders whose organizations are featured in this guide. I have already had the pleasure with meeting with some AS groups, like Office of the External Vice President for Local Affairs (EVPLA), but Id like to meet with all of you to ensure that the content about your organizations is accurate and presents the image youd like the community to receive. So if youre in a student or non-student org that is relevant to IV, come stop by today or next Monday! Meetings only take about 10 mins, and its really helpful for me to get your input. Some groups that come to mind include UCSB A.S. CAB, UCSB Environmental Affairs Board, Associated Students Isla Vista Community Relations Committee (IVCRC), UCSB Associated Students Office of the President, AS staff relevant to IV, Coastal Fund, Associated Students Food Bank, and many more!
