Hi: After you entered into United State, the first thing you may need is having a validate driving license. The transportation system in US is a lot different than Afghanistan. In here, in some areas it is too difficult to find a taxi, if you are able to find the cost is too much high. Access to public transpiration system requires your knowledge of the city and having GPS in your mobile thats also not an easy way. Once you entered into US, you will find out that you need to have a car and prior to that you need to have permit/driving license. If you have driving license from Afghanistan, dont forget to up date it and bring it along both for you and your family member over age 18. If you are traveling to other state, go through google search and look for: DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle) guide book in (write your preferred state name). In California people can pass the computer test of driving, in many different languages including Farsi.
