Hi All AN EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY LINKED TO THE CLUB As you know we have been working hard with camping-ninja to agree a contract for placing a tented village at Cartha during the commonwealth games That process is now complete and our club is being given the opportunity to apply for posts arising from this venture If you are interested - Please advise me ASAP with-associated contact details and I will pass on the names to camping-ninja Their may also be some other temporary jobs arising from this event ( i will apprise you accordingly ) Aye Gordon Copy Job description Job Title - Campsite Steward Temporary Contract - approx:13th July - 7th August, P/T and F/T, 8 hour shifts Pay - TBC but approx £6.50 per hour Training evening - Late May/June - Exact date TBC Reporting to: Campsite Manager Job Summary Campsite Stewards will be responsible for the running of our Glasgow 2014 campsites to ensure the sites operates smoothly and campers have an amazing time! Key Responsibilities There will be a minimum of 4 stewards onsite and a Campsite Manager at any one time and within your teams you will rotate roles to cover the following duties. Checking in campers - Checking campers booking details when they arrive onsite and providing them with the relevant arrival information Manning access points to ensure wristband entry only and to direct campers to the relevant point Keeping the campsite clean and tidy - this may include periodic litter picks and ensuring waste stations are not overflowing or inappropriately used Keeping toilets and showers tidy - toilets and showers will be cleaned daily by specialist contractors, however it may be necessary to top up toilet roles and tidy changing rooms/showers from time to time if they are particularly messy Cleaning pre pitched tents - once a camper checks out you will need to inspect the tent and ensure it is ready for the next arrival Assist any campers with queries or those who may be having difficulties with camping kit Be the eyes and ears of the campsite - if you have any concerns report these to the Campsite Manager and be the face of Campingninja! Essential Requirements... Education - we are not too fussed, it’s your people skills and experience we are most interested in. However fluent written and spoken English is essential. Experience - experience of working in a customer facing role is useful, it’s important that you are happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in! Special skills - a people person, good verbal communication, patience, ability to problem solve and think on your feet and basic IT is useful but not essential. Physical requirements - this can be a physically demanding role. Not all but a lot of your time will be spent outside and on your feet. If you are appointed for the setup of the event this may also require lifting heavy objects and setting up tents and marquees. NB. Must be 16 years of age or over. --
