Hi All! Hope you are having a great summer. Here is a very rare picture of me NOT DOING SCHOOL WORK, which is why I have not been easily accessible for the past couple of weeks. Im back in town and am trying to weed through the many e-mails I have received, be patient, I will get through them as soon as I can! Here are a few items worth mention: 1. There are 27 marchers that need to complete payment. I e-mailed everyone on this list today, please contact me with your plan for payment ASAP so we can be confident in our drill size. Last minute drill revisions are a drag! 2. If you missed our uniform fittings, we will be fitting the last few winds plus our drumline during pre-camp. 3. If you are chaperoning or staffing band camp you need to send in an iChat form ASAP. 4. If you need to contact me please e-mail instead of using FB messaging. Im going a little crazy trying to keep up with both and there is no way to sort and file FB messages. 5. Section Leaders, Drum Majors, and Captains need to report for Leadership Day on August 13 at 10:30am. 6. All marchers, guard, drumline should report for precamp on August 14 at 9:30am. Meet on the career center field, no instruments needed. Yes, pencils, water bottles, sunscreen, and lunch or money for lunch. 7. Class schedules can be picked up during lunch breaks during pre-camp. 8. Freshmen will have CHS orientation at 9a on August 25. This is a special time for marchers since you will be at camp during the general orientation. 9. Thanks to everyone who has already signed up for e-mail blasts on the new band website. Im still getting things up and running and hope to switch to e-mail blasts for long announcements like this within the next few weeks. 10. Dont forget to sign up for the MMB field trip on 8/27! 11. Parents, I hope to get volunteer sign ups going very soon. We will need help with the ice cream social, snacks and water for home games, equipment crew for home games, pajamarama, rummage sale, equipment driving, concessions booths for Michigan Football games etc.!
