Hi All.... I am certain most of you know that we suffered a blow again today as the Emergency Room at the hospital closed despite best efforts of many. I am very sorry that we could not pull this off but I am very confident that the ER will open early next week. I am told that people and processes remain in front of this (the re-opening of the ER and other hospital services) at a very high level. This A-Team consists of the is the Governor, Sec. of Finance, Sec. of Dept. of Public Health, Atty. General, Sen. Downing and Rep. Cariddi. Please know that all of these folks are extremely committed to restoring services. If you need ER services, for the next several days, you will have to go to BMC. Please rest assured that all of our local Ambulance Services are fully functional and fully responding to 911 calls. Ambulances will transport patients to Pittsfield or Bennington as is necessary. I am very much hoping this will be rectified before mid-next week – I will post more information as I receive it.... Thank you, Dick
