Hi All: I hope its OK to post this here. If not, the powers that be can delete it. :) My best friend from high school, Pams son has been denied an insulin pump by their insurance company. He has one that is not working to control his blood sugar levels. He is 6 years old, and has been given a prescription for the new pump by his doctors at the Joslin Diabetes Clinic, but Blue Cross has deemed the treatment experimental because of his age, despite the fact that other children are using the pump very successfully. We have started an online petition at Change.org to petition Blue Cross Blue Shield to provide Logan his pump. If you would take just 30 seconds of your day to sign the petition, I would be grateful. We are only 23 signatures away from having the petition go live on Change.Orgs website so that people around the world can sign the petition and put pressure on BCBS to do the right thing. Logans 7th birthday is on the 14th and it would be an awesome birthday present for him to get his pump. Thank you. Susan
