Hi All. Im not sure if Im posting this in the wrong place, so forgive me if I have. I would like a little guidance / advice regarding additional help that is available to PSP sufferers. My Dad (who is 73), is the primary carer for my Mum who has PSP and I think he is finding things pretty tough. Someone mentioned to me today that they thought a Social Worker should be assigned to Mum and there would also be the opportunity for someone to take her out (without Dad), a couple of hours a week. They do have Carers coming in first thing in the morning and in the evening, but I truly believe that Dad needs some me time before he makes himself ill. He has a long road ahead of him and Im worried hell burn out along the way. Does anyone have any experience of this? Thank you all.
