Hi All, It has been a very long and trying time for the Marion County Humane Society. We are not sure what is going on but we have been over our capacity for the last 2 months. We have taken in many abandoned, unwanted, abused/neglected and hurt animals. People walk through our doors and say if we dont take these animals they will kill them. (Guess What That is Illegal and We Now Have Cameras-Gotcha!) Our normal procedure when we take in these precious animals they are wormed, vaccinated, flea treated, bathed and given a warm and safe place to live until we find them their new forever home. These last 2 months we have taken in many animals who have been sick and badly injured so our vet bills are through the roof right now. It is not cheap doing the every day care and spay/neutering these precious animals. Then when you add on the surgeries and vet care for then animals who have recently come to us sick and injured it doesnt take long for the vet bills to sky rocket. We try not to do this but we are asking for your help and support to pay these vet bills. Please help us to continue to say these precious animals because we are the only voice they have.
