Hi All, Ive been active here on Facebook, as well as Twitter for quite some time now. I wasnt a MySpacer (although I have a MySpace account for what its worth) but caught the Facebook bug not too long after it became popular. As everyone knows, Im an ardent supporter of the First Amendment. As such, Ive taken a very open position on people who disagree with me or anyone else for that matter. Of late, disagreements have turned into personal attacks that sometimes became outright offensive. Obviously, people behaving in such a manner stifles everyone elses ability to speak freely and enjoy a lively debate. Therefore, for the first time Ive removed a handful of people who in my mind and the minds of others, crossed the line. While those people are undoubtedly very passionate in their beliefs, it doesnt serve the goal of fun and informative dialogue to allow a couple of people to drive away those who really want to engage in thoughtful discussion. If youve been insulted or dissuaded from joining in on a conversation because of someones past behavior, I apologize and hope things return to the civility that existed until recently. In closing, let me say that weve plunged into the holiday season and I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and will have a chance to spend them with family and loved ones! Best to everyone, Kim
