Hi All, So sorry for the delay. We just got back due to the bad weather. So here is our Ty Bean update so far: The ophthalmologist feels that his eye is actually doing ok and that he is seeing. His pressures were fine. She is recommending cleaning and eye ointment to keep the eye moist and a new antibiotic to try to hopefully calm the inflammation down in and above the eye. Mostly above the eye. She would not recommend eye removal because she feels as though things are progressing positively. Sadly she also noted that with his counts, he would have a low survival rate having any long anesthetic procedures. So she, like us was very concerned about his low white and red counts. She believes that possibly something else is going on because those counts are not associated with the eye issue. We ended being able to see the internist there and he wanted to keep Ty for x-rays, ultrasound, and possibly a bone marrow biopsy. He is very concerned about his blood counts and was insistent that we start figuring out what is wrong before its too late :-( So with tears, Maria and I left him in their hands for the day and we are anxiously awaiting updates.
