Hi All, The QT verse today reads: “Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign Lord: I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect my holy name, on which you brought shame while you were scattered among the nations. Ezekiel 36:22. Today’s verse talks about restoration and honour. The one that feels entitled or deserving of something has that expectation because they have earned it. Such a person is honoured where honour is due. God is speaking to His people that He is not going to restore them because that they deserve it or entitled to it but that His holy name be protected. Beloved, our restoration is God’s honour to defend. Not because we are righteous or good deeds. When a child is in distress and calls on his/her father, the child has evoked integrity of fatherhood. Today God will deliver us and call us out of that place of distress not because we deserve it but because we have made known to the nations that He is our father and to protect His holy name and prevent His children from bringing shame on His name. The scripture says: For Zions sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalems sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. Isaiah 62:1. Today our vindication is God’s honour to protect. Be blessed!
