Hi All, The Quiet Time verse for today reads: And Moses certainly was faithful in the administration of all God’s house [but it was only] as a ministering servant. [In his entire ministry he was but] a testimony to the things which were to be spoken [the revelations to be given afterward in Christ] (Hebrews 3:5 AMP). Today’s verse talks about Christ – the complete saviour. Moses in the Old Testament was a type of Christ used to save God’s people. It was a shadow of the salvation to come through God’s own son – Jesus. But Moses did this as a servant. Jesus saves both as a servant and Lord. Moses was a prophet of God. Jesus is unto us both a prophet and a High Priest. Yet Jesus has been considered worthy of much greater honour and glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honour than the house [itself] (Hebrews 3:3). Jesus saves and calls us into a permanent relationship with Him. We are the body of Christ. Partakers of the promise (v.14) – he is the foundation of the house, the builder of the house and the house itself! For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood (Hebrews 7:14). We have a better mediator of God’s promises in Christ. A prophet and priest unto eternity! The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 19:10). Be blessed!
