Hi All, The Quiet Time verse for today reads: You are all around me on every side; you protect me with your power (Psalm 139:5 GNT). Today’s verse talks about how God protects His people. God envelops His children in protecting them from harm both seen and unseen. The scripture says on every side. These may include spiritual to welfare protection and from diseases and infirmities. He is our sun and shield (Psalm 84:11). Only cowards or devious persons attack from the sides. The bible tells us that our enemy is of this subtle conniving character who only steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Stolen joy? Killed our passion for God or destroyed families? Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land (Job 1:10). Job enjoyed the protection of God. He had a hedge about him. He was also protected from on every side. It is imperative we pray for the protection of/from God. Our warfare is not carnal and we should not be deceived (Ephesians 6:12). Dear Lord, we ask for your protection this day that encapsulates all sides. We commit our families, our relationships, the work of our hands and most of all, our soul for Your protection! Be blessed!
