Hi All, The Quiet Time verse today reads: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27 KJV). Today’s verse talks about the peace of God. It is refreshing to know God’s peace is not the peace of the world which is brokered among people and nations on conditions and terms. Jesus is described as the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). That is the perfect peace that drowns all sorrows. In Philippians 4:6, we are encouraged to commit all our anxiety to God in prayer And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The peace we have of God is an assured salvation which makes us neither afraid of death (because we know our end) or the wants of this world because God is our sufficiency (2 Corinthians 3:5). Lastly, the peace of God transcends all understanding because it is not dependent on the happenings around us. The peace of God is found both in our hearts and mind through Christ, the Prince of Peace. Dear God grant us your eternal peace today, Amen! Be blessed!
