Hi All This Wednesday will be out first 2014 open meeting for Transition Town Kensal to Kilburn. We will start the agenda items from 8pm but the venue will be open from 7:30 so you can join us anytime from then. Heres link to the event: Meeting Link We are holding our meeting at the Carlton Kitchens at Canterbury Terrace, South Kilburn NW6 5DX. Its just behind the South Kilburn Studios. Heres a link to get there Map link. Carlton Kitchens are starting a book share so if you have Book Share Link. They are looking for books about anything to do with food – recipes, gardening and growing, food journalism, health and nutrition and sustainability. Please bring a book if you can. Youre welcome to bring some food and drink to share. What will be happening on the night? Well, do you have a great idea for a project that needs some funding? We do have funding available and are looking for individuals to share those ideas with us at the meeting. We will also take a look at other options for what we would like to achieve as a group in 2014. We are also looking for new members to join the Core Group. This is the group that oversees the activities of our Transition Town initiative. The group meets 4 times a year (with lots of food, drink and great ideas to share) and also each member helps assist organising one open meeting per year. If you want to be part of the group that shapes and defines this important initiative then be ready to raise your hand! The agenda will also include updates on the following: • Film and Food evening • Field to Fork • Queens Park Allotment • Spring social Heres some ideas to kickstart those burning ambitions to get a TT project on its way • Training or skills sharing sessions • Inviting speakers to present to TT members • Specialist one-off craft workshops • Marketing/ website initiatives • Building connections to local organisation See you all on Wednesday...
