Hi All good update: Ashley was resubmitted to KRMC ICU last Tuesday with a collapsed lung. Her blood had become so thin that a small vessel broke in the plural lining of her lung. The plural lining filled with blood and her lung collapsed so a tube needed to be inserted through her back and into her lung to drain the blood. In the first day over two cups of blood drained. For the next four days, the blood was drained and yesterday the tube was removed. Her lung seems to be re-inflating and today she was released from the hospital. Everyone at KRMC was very good to her. the first picture be low is of the tube in her back and the second is of the area after the tube was removed. the third picture is of Ashley after the tube was removed. Picture four is Oh...Mom has her camera out again and picture five is Ashley thinking she is going home! Will has been so supportive throughout all of this. He has been by her side everyday holding her hand and he is taking care of everything now that she is home again. Thank you all for your support and prayers. Ashley is doing great, however, she will need to be monitored for the next year, she has a 1 in 5 chance to have her lung collapse again within a year. Thank you all for your support!
