Hi All new here to this group. Member of California ST which is a great group of people with lots of good knowledge. How did I come to like the FoST, well I did the Ford Ecoboost challenge last May and drove all the others cars to get to the Fiesta ST challenge, which was a mini auto cross complete with timing. I was overly impressed by the little Fiesta and was amazed at how it handled. I did like the styling and size of the Focus better though. I had already been more of a fan of big V8 rear wheel drive cars like Mustangs or Camaros. So I was so impressed by the hot hatch cars performance and power, you can still have similar fun and performance as bigger cars but are more affordable. I also found that the performance after market community was very much alive and booming. So I joined FocusST.org to read and learn more about these great little cars. I mainly trolled around for many months sucking up as much info as I could. I would look in the for sale section all the time looking for a good deal on an ST 2 or 3. I did find one that I really liked which was the Vivid Racing Red wide fenders FoST but I took to long on pulling the trigger on that car and was pretty bummed. I kept looking then found the Tanner Foust Edition FoST for sale on FocusST.org. I kept looking at the pix reading posts on it and reading all the online articles about it. Then finally a few months ago tried to contact the OP with no success as he didnt leave a contact number or email. I research the posters member name and found out the company he worked for which is Tanner Fousts marketing agency. Contracted them and long story short saw the car in person then had to sell a bunch of investments to come up with the cash to buy the car. When I picked up the car I meet Tanner and he asked me if I wanted him to autograph the car, which was an easy yes and had him sign it on the dash board and engine. He also got me some tickets to the LA GRC round, which was loads of fun. Tanner is a real nice down to earth guy and a good race car driver and tv host. One of the biggest motivators on me getting this car was also a non profit organization I have been working on called HERORIDES.ORG which is to give disabled veterans who may have lost a limb or other reason they cannot drive a performance car an opportunity to ride in one at a track event. Still working on the details of getting it off the ground. Always looking for any vets who want to help.
