Hi, All of these COGS are seen by the state as religious organizations. They are not seen by the government as churches. Why? Because they do not claim constitutional rights as a church. There is a mandate within the Constitution that says essentially all churches are tax exempt. That mandate is called 508(c)(1)(a). All religious organizations are automatically recognized by the state as 501c3. 501c3 just means not for profit religious organization. If they do not state the 508(c)(1)(a) mandate, saying that they are a church, then the state does not see them as a church but just as a religious organization. These COGS do not mention that mandate. Mr.Armstrong did. He also placed the church under a corporation sole, which means that he was the only member in the organization. The church is not the organization. It is the spiritual organism. Meaning, the body of believers and supporters. They sent Gods tithes and offerings to the organization which housed the work. Mr.Armstrong was given the work of Matt 24:14. And it was the churchs job to support that work. Now, Mr.Armstrong had made a barrier of protection for the church. He himself was that barrier. In order to attack the church they first had to go through him. The corporation sole was that barrier. These Cogs do not have that barrier. As a religious organization, the investors or the membership, are held as collateral for any debt that the religious organization has. Meaning that they are held responsible. The leaders of these organizations have created a safeguard for themselves but have opened wide the gates against the church! He protected the church not put it in harms way! The mark of the beast is Sunday worship. These religious organizations have placed the church in a position to accept the mark. Who wouldnt want to attend services? But if they abide by these restrictions they are accepting the mark. Just by attending these churches! 501c3 has restrictions. By putting the 508(c)(1)(a) mandate in the churchs constitution papers, they are removing those restrictions. Mr.Armstrong did that. These Cogs do not. The church isnt the organization however. The organization is the voice of the church. It is the instrument that the church uses to perform the work of God. The constitution gives the church the right of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. But when you join an organization/ corporation that takes that freedom away, and lays the regulations of the corporation on the people you are giving up your constitutional rights! the church is governed by its doctrines(which is supposed to be the law of God). The true church holds fast to what was taught because they place themselves under subjection of Gods government. Those who join an organization who teaches contrary to what was taught, are placing themselves under the subjection of the corporate laws. These COGS are not seen as a constitutional church, but as a corporate church. Because....they obey the corporate laws over Gods laws. They will be forced to obey corporate law over Gods. They either will accept the mark of the beast or they will be sent to the world court and punished/executed/ tortured for their breakage of their contract with the beast power. These Cogs do not teach what was taught, although these ministers were taught by Mr.Armstrong. Malachi 2 explains these sons of Levi who corrupted what was taught by Levi(Mr.Armstrong). Noticed verse 8. They are leading the scattered brethren to the Catholic Church and the mark of the beast. How? Because they are walking away from what was taught,Gods Truth which was taught through Herbert W Armstrong. Thus these things go hand in hand. But the issue about why they have changed from what was taught is more important and is at the heart of the matter! They(the COGS) all claim to be just like Mr.Armstrong, both doctrinally and organizationally. They are not in both cases. If we point to them we are helping the deception. Just a thought. When we say something about one of the cogs, we are not saying it about the people(the members within that cog). They have been deceived. The ministers, however, ought to know better. They are supposed to be teaching the brethren Gods Truth, but are not. Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Malachi all prophesied of this. These ministers have joined themselves with the governments of this world, and are now telling the people come with me, I am teaching the same as Gods Apostle. But they have watered down and changed and perverted the true gospel that Christ and all the Apostles of God preached, including Herbert W Armstrong. Malachi 2:8 says this. They are now following their new master, CAESAR! Herbert W Armstrong said Who is Lord? Christ or Caesar? In turning away from what was taught they joined with Babylon. The book of Obadiah explains those who worked with Babylon and turned Gods people to Babylon as slaves. The ministers are going to be held responsible for the blood of the people. That is why we warn people of these cogs. They are heading for a trap. That is why we are asking these ministers why they do not teach what was taught. They either do not know that they are doing it, and if so they may see their error and repent and change and start doing it the right way. And if they know what they are doing their actions will expose them and the people of God will see the error. Either way it is to the good of the flock.
