Hi All, this is my beauty baby Malna, she is 5 1/2 yrs old and was diagnosed with cushings in Sept 2014 based on the LDDS test... She has several symptoms of cushing - drinking tons of water, peeing in every 2-3 hrs, panting, pot belly, hair loss and increased liver enzymes... However, weve consulted with a specialist who said she did not look like a cushing dog - despite of the blood test and symptoms... She was on 30 mg Vetoryl for a month but there was absolutely no change in the sypmtoms but was even worse... we did the ACTH test as well and there was NO change in her cortisol level...so we stopped Vetoryl as per the specialists advice. To be honest, she is our fur baby and was our only love till my baby boy was born in Sept 2014. According to the specialist vet there might be a connection between the sypmtoms and the arrival of the new member of the pack - my Son. :( Because the constantly high level of stress can cause extremly increased cortisol... I am totally confused and have no idea what to do... :( Have you ever experienced/heard about something similar..? Could it be possible to have a positive LDDS test without having cushing..?
