Hi All, we (Antonia Drew Vann and I and a friend in Chicago) have been talking about pulling mothers and grandmothers from Milwaukee and Chicago, to go to Ferguson to demonstrate for 1 day (a day trip) to support Michael Browns parents and demand justice for Michael Brown! Preliminary (TBD) Trip Logistics: Depart Milwaukee: 4:00 a.m. Arrive Chicago: 5:30 a.m. Arrive Ferguson, MO: 10:30 a.m. Demonstrate 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Demonstrations during the day are safe) Depart Ferguson: 5:00 p.m. Arrive Chicago: 10:00 p.m. Arrive Milwaukee: 11:00 p.m. Tentative Date: August 26th, 27th or 28th (before Labor day weekend) Other Logistics: 1) Secure Bus sponsors; 2) Signage and T-shirts that shows we are Mothers and Grandmothers for Justice for Michael Brown; 3) Secure donations for food; 4) Our friends in Chicago will organize mothers and grandmothers from Chicago What we need from you: a) join us on the trip; b) get the word out and recruit other mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters to join us for the trip; c) help us to secure sponsors for the bus, food, etc., from your churches, organizations, clubs, sororities, etc. We need to show our support for Michael Browns parents and help them to demand justice for their son - Michael Brown is our son! There is an epidemic in this country of unarmed black boys and men being killed by police officers. Get back to us ASAP if you will make the commitment to go and to recruit others!
