Hi Auntie nedare. Please hide my ID I borrowed this account. I am a gal aged 20 and stay with my parents in Harare. Late last year I fell in love with a guy who five years ago used to rent a room at our house before he left for South Africa to pursue his studies. This guy is 29 and now works in South Africa and hs promised to marry me. I have no reason whatsoever to doubt him,he treats me like a queen and even his family really loves me. My family though happens to be my problem. Earlier this year my mum caught some messages on my phone that he had sent me and she called him and told him that she doesnt approve of the affair because he is too old for a young gal like me, he must look for someone of his age. My father also send him messages threatening him if he doesnt let go of me. My brother too is not helping matters, he called him just a week ago and told him that he is too poor and that he wont afford to marry me. I personally dont care about money, all I care about is his love for me and the fact that he went to SA to study and start his own brand not to rely in parents for everything. Now my question Auntie is, is the age difference between us too big that I cant get married to the man I love? Secondly how can I convince my family that he is the only guy who appeals to my heart and that he deserves a chance to prove his worthy? What if he gets frustrated and decides to leave me? Please help I am really stressed. My apologies for the long story
