Hi Austin! 2014 has been a great year! Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all 20,000+ of you who have liked our page. This is a pretty big milestone for the little blog that could. For those not aware, The Austinot is an all-volunteer team and weve never accepted payment to write any of our over 700 articles at Austinot We do this as a labor of love for the city of #Austin. Just like you, we simply love this city! We do have sponsors who get what we do. The funds we receive from them go toward website hosting, credentials, business cards and general expenses. They basically keep us up and running. Weve been approached by several large companies not based in Austin to sponsor the Austinot. Weve politely refused because they arent local. People think were crazy for saying no, but we want to stay true to the city and the purpose of The Austinot. But were always on the lookout for LOCAL sponsors.
