Hi Bees, Hope no one minds me posting this here (if Im wrong then admin please remove it) I own a costume shop in the UK and have a bit of an addiction to Elizabethan costume and have recently had a lovely lady in who needed a costume for an event, which I spent ages sourcing to match the budget which was less than £50. She was so pleased with it that shes now come back and asked me to handle her entire Elizabethan wedding including the wedding dress. She wants something amazing but less than £500 and I dont know where to start. Our shop normally caters for costumes of the £10-£150 range and quality and off the peg generic costumes will not do what the lady wants for her wedding so I was wondering if anyone had any pointers or ideas of where to start. I know we will be wanting to get the dress made as a bespoke but the question is where to start with it all and if any body had any recommendations at all. From the discussions with the bride she is wanting something on a stunning level to the dresses that often feature here so I thought I would turn to the group for some help. While its a great honour to be asked to handle the whole costuming side of the event and I know we can happily handle the rest of the costumes for guests and things I am really worried about the main dress and getting it right.
