Hi Cashman how are you buddy? I have really been busy writing to all the other kids you sent my way lately. Cash it just seems like everywhere I look I see new kids fighting cancer, I just have to say WTH! Cash we have absolutely got to find a cure soon, too many kids are fighting for their lives. I am so angry that our country spends so much money in foreign countries on wars we can not win, when we could be spending that money for pediatric cancer research and a cure. This country, this government has to act now, we have to pressure our leaders to do whats right for our children. Our President wants billions for the refugees that are flooding over our borders, Billions, REALLY? How about billions for cancer research? Oh Superhero I am just on a rant I guess but I get so angry every time I watch a child lose their fight against this demon. Cas I would say I am sorry for the rant but I cant because I aint sorry. Dang it Buddy it is way past time to fix this. I pray for so many kids every night, I pray for your mother and father and Wy and Gracie every single night. Cash, the hardest thing I have ever done was having to say goodbye to you. And we never met. I cant even begin to imagine how hard this was on everyone that knew you. The night before your service when I came to see you, I cried. I wanted to pick you up and squeeze life back into you. I have always been able to fix things and I wanted to fix this. Throughout your fight I was continually reminded of my own sons fight, over 30 years ago. That was a five year battle, once a week to UCSF for the first 3 years. Cash I could put that car on cruise control and go to sleep because I knew the way so well. 265 miles one way, stay the night, get treatment, then 265 mile home. Even now it seems like it was last week. Cash I wish there was some way I could change things. I know that God has a plan for each of us, yours was to unite a community, and thousands of strangers, and teach us what love really is. You succeeded my friend, you were superb as a teacher of love for others. You rocked this world in a way only God could have intended, thank you Cash for being the best friend, best hero, best example, that this older than dirt man could have ever had. Oh and the friends you sent me were the most stellar, wonderful, examples of kind, loving humans ever. Cash I continue the work of love that you directed me into. I write to kids and I pray for them every night. You know me, I am a late night kind of guy lol, so thats when I talk to the kids and to God. I know that when it is late and quiet God hears me better. Cash I see every picture your mom posts, and I thank her from my very heart and soul for posting them because they really make me smile. I smile because the blessing of Cash Shank continues to live every day. Gods blessings sent through you are still alive Little man! I remain thankful for them. Ok Superman I best get some sleep, Hey buddy please give my mom a huge hug for me, I moss her so much, she ways had the answers.
