Hi Chris. Could you please compare these two passages for me: 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe because our testimony among you was believed in that day. Psalm 104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: Is God saying in the first passage that he will come to take vengeance in his elect (a flaming fire) since it says in the second passage that his ministers are as a flaming fire? So could God be saying here that he will come to be gloried in his saints and to take vengeance through them since the saints will judge the world like it says in 1 Cor. 6:2? That is, Gods elect who have the word of God that is judging at this time are being used by him as an aspect of his judgment? Thanks!
