Hi Everybody! The media is up in arms over the new Media Bill. The more i listen to them, the more i giggle to myself in embarrassment. Its like a fat man who sits on a high bar stool, and a little girl sees part of his exposed behind...She cant help giggling in embarrassment... Come on, watu nguyas! Do you remember when election results were coming in, and the media conveniently gave some pple and events a black-out? Do you remember them insisting on the message of peace, at the expense of the truth? Do you remember being told to accept and move on? Do you remember how the R.H Prime Minister’s JKIA humiliation was given a black-out? Has anyone noticed how quickly the Mutindwa deaths have been pushed to the back-burner? What if it had happened in Karen? Do you remember some media anchor interviewing the son of Samoei, and trying to placate him when certain questions made the man uneasy? Do you remember Sonko, on live air, directing Jimmi Gathu on the questions he was to be asked? Do you remember ‘Prophet’ Owuor threatening to walk out on the set if he was asked certain questions? So, what exactly is this media freedom that we are being told is being gagged???! If i gave you a bicycle, and you have never rode it, how normal would you seem, if you started bawling to the birds that i’ve denied you the use of the bicycle when i take it away? The media has reported on things in a manner they feel will not rub the govt the wrong way. Why are they complaining now??! That Bill will just put pen to paper on what has been happening unofficially! Our media has erred on the side of caution for too long. I honestly believe they gagged themselves long before it actually happened. The MPs only made it official. Our media has been too eager to please the govt. I would expect them to agree to this Bill, because such compliance would be pleasing to the govt. Haven’t they been only too willing to please the govt?.....The noise they are making is too funny; i cant help giggling in embarrassment..... ION, there are a lot of things the son of Samoei didn’t know about, but are becoming crystal clear with each passing day.....Its like a genie emerging from the shadows in slow motion.....The son of Samoei had no clue, when he entered a pre-election pact, that the elections would be rigged. Thats why the ‘win’ caught him totally off-guard to the point of tears, while the other guy seemed easy, to the point of calling supreme court judges, ‘’some six pple’’, when asked to comment on the petition ..... He was kept out of the loop as far as the rigging plans were concerned. The other side were never sure whether he could be trusted with such a ‘do-or-die’ plan. Maybe they thought he might bolt at the last minute, and share it with the other side....But, its becoming clear to him now.....The son of Samoei truly believed that his pre-election pact was a 50-50 deal...Now he knows better, after closely observing govt appointments. Each appointment seems like a slap in his face; and its bound to get worse....The son of Samoei believed the other dude that they would both attend ICC proceedings when they commenced, in order to clear their names. What he didn’t know was that, the other dude had no intention whatsoever of attending those trials. The other dude never shared that plan with the son of Samoei......Now the poor Samoei boy knows better......The son of Samoei has done terrible things in his past. I believe in his sincerity to attend the ICC trials. He believes that he has a shot at clearing his name. One day he will run for presidency. He knows that his chances will be greatly boosted if he clears his name at the ICC. The presidency is the single most important thing to him currently......What he doesn’t know, at least not yet, is that, the same way he was played all along, he will also be played on the issue of running for president, when the time comes..... The son of Samoei didn’t know many things....Now he knows quite a number of them....The others, he will just have to wait, and know them ipso facto......
