Hi Everyone: As you all know by now, 2014 will go down as the year without an SBL event. Sorry about that, but there were reasons beyond all control as to why that is/was the case. If it wasnt for Bonnie Rasmussen, Lisa Knox, Abby Klous and a handful of other dedicated friends, we may not have had at event in 2013 either! Honestly, many of the musicians were kind of SBLd - out and even a lot of you appeared to need a break, so its probably not a bad thing that we took a year off, right? We DID manage to execute the second Tribute album with the help of many of you and generous artists. It is as terrific as Tribute I, dontcha think? Anyway, your feedback is welcome (FB the SBL page for all to see or me privately with ideas for 2015 - email is okay too wmpbell@yahoo). * I could still use some help with the website. Is there another hosting option out there that will allow us to play the music but not cost us about $500 per year? Anyone (Abby Klous :-) ) have ideas? * If we do try for an SBL event next year theres a chance it could be without the complete Stevedores. Those fellas are scattered all over the country. Would you still come? We do know a lot of great musicians in this community who could put on a terrific show, you know! *Would we do it in Detroit? Madison (kind of hard to get to for many). Denver? Sacramento? Los Angeles? Where and why? *Could you help? You know (as Bonnie, Lisa, Susie, Shannon, Claudia, Shawn and others know, its no walk in the park to pull this off. AND its expensive - and its expensive to anyone who would attend no matter where it is. Anyway, depending on the response to this, we can start discussing whether or not its even possible to begin talking about 2015. Gratitude, as always, for everyone who continues to keep the music alive. It warms this old farts heart. bb
