Hi Everyone! I have just returned from four days in the Isle of Man. Glad to report that Mum & Dad are doing relatively well, and seem to be enjoying life. Dad has trouble hearing if there is any background noise, so that can be tricky. He should buy a top of the range aid, but is, as ever, careful with his money! It could be a great joint present one day if some of us want to chip in! I think Karl is in that business so he could advise the best on the market? Most of you will all of heard (via Facebook) of the trip to Newquay and Mum & Dad are looking for as many of the entire family as possible to join them for all or part of their stay. They are flying to Newquay via Manchester on 2nd August and returning to IOM on 16th August. They are planning to stay at the Parkdean Newquay Holiday Park in Cornwall, although there is plenty of different hotels, guest houses etc nearby. They claim A great country park, 3 miles out of town. Three outdoor pools with 200ft waterslide. Blue flag & RNLI beaches. Newquay Holiday Park has a great selection of facilities to keep the whole family busy including three outdoor swimming pools with 200m waterslide, an assault course, a number of play areas plus a 9 hole Pitch n Putt course overlooking the glorious countryside. Alyson and I will be taking our motorhome, and the site has full touring and camping facilities. It will be wise to think about booking soon. Anne is coordinating bookings etc and she is negotiating rates etc. Please keep in touch with Anne and advise if you can make it and when! I am sure we will not all be able to make it, but it would be fun for as many as possible! It would be nice to get some direct emails and numbers from everyone as Facebook is not always the best medium for passing on certain family information!
