Hi Everyone, Roxie is a corgi that has lost to 19 lb and was diagnosed on 11/12/14. This has been a long journey for us. it has taken over two months of crashing every two weeks and then the last three weeks of crashing every 5 to 7 days after a long term shot of steroids. The previous vet is holding any records and reports from our new vet, due to me not being able to pay the final bill the day I went to go get her to take her to a new vet after a 9 day stay of just steroids daily and no communication of what was going on from the vet and taking over 7 days for percorten to come in and the day I removed her, it had yet to come in. During that time she lost a lot of muscle mass and wasnt able to walk but to stand to potty. I have attached her ACTH test and a page of other blood work that I dont know all the things that were tested for, but I dont think they missed anything. She is taking 20 mg half a pill in the morning and half in the evening of prednisone, and 0.1fludrocort morning and evening. Since she had crashed so many times and the clinic didnt have Percorten on hand they went to the pharmacy to get her started on Fludrocort that evening. We go back on Wednesday the 26th for her labs and to see where she is on her levels. She is still walking a little weak, today she went down the stairs and this evening she has come up the steps by herself. She has improved each day and I hope we have good levels next week. Today she didnt get up and eat like she usually does, but I didnt have eggs for her breakfast and I didnt have liver for her tonight. She did finally eat this morning and this evening. Im really worried about the bills that I have accured during the last two months, and the not knowing what the next charge will be is hard to not worry. We have had a lot of health issues and I had surgery just 4 weeks before Roxie got sick and I havent been able to work. So I would like to try to budget, but I dont know what to budget yet, so Im very overwhelmed to say the least. I love my Roxie, but I cant wait to get to a new normal for sure.
