Hi Everyone! We are 18 weeks out from the Dallas marathon and even though its hot as heck outside, its time to start training! Heather and I have put together three plans: Basic (40 mpw peak), Intermediate (50mpw peak), and Advanced (60mpw peak). Half Marathon plans will be coming in a couple of weeks, so those runners get a small break in the August heat. We are kicking off this Wednesday with an easy run from the Lake House Bar and Grill and ramping up from there. Our Wednesday and Saturday routes will be scheduled with these plans in mind, but the plans are optional. All Saturday runs will begin at Fuzzys and Wednesdays runs will rotate: Every third week will be at the Lake Highlands High School track, every third week will be a hilly location near the lake (Crazy 8s or Flagpole Hill), and every third week will be a recovery week at a local restaurant to keep the excitement of our popular Run My Hood series going through the Fall. There are 4 tabs on the spreadsheet: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Training Paces. If you have any questions you can ask Heather and I on Facebook or at the Lake House on Wednesday.
