Hi Everyone, We had a great night building a ramp for a precious almost 4 year old little girl. We loaded the trailer at 4:15 and were on the site by a little before 5:00. We got right to work and besides having to dance with the gas line, had a pretty uneventful, but joy filled evening. The weather could not have been nicer. If you have never been to a Ramps of Hope installation, you are invited to stop by and join in the fun sometime. Our young recipient and her siblings, parents, grandparents, and other extended family member were on hand and treated us to pizza. Then Bobbi arrived with pulled pork, baked beans, homemade applesauce and more. We certainly had enough to sustain us, share with the family, and just totally enjoy the evening. We were cleaned up and taking pictures by 7:30. Our young recipient tried out her new ramp for the first time, wheeling herself all the way to the top by herself and then coming back down too. Her first response coming down was "My new ramp is fun". Her sister and brother agreed as they road their riding toys up and down. I think new helmets for all three are the order of the day! Her mother told us that she has been practicing at school so she will be able to get outside to play this summer. We made the ramp a little less of a slope that usual to make it easier for her to get up and down. This seems to have worked just fine. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.
