Hi Everyone. Well today was full of surprises! My surgeon fell and broke her pelvis, so my surgery was re-scheduled. And then, my throat culture came back and showed I have Strep Throat (group B) so I wouldnt have been able to have the surgery anyway! I still do not have a voice and the lymph nodes in my throat are extremely swollen along with the 2 benign tumors I have in my throat. I will be seeing the ENT specialist next week and hopefully they will have some answers. I was evaluated by speech and swallow yesterday and again today and she agrees my throat is too swollen right now to make any accurate diagnoses and that he ENT and his tests will reveal more. I have also been having strange episodes while Im sleeping and Ive been waking up similarly to how I feel after a seizure. I also have a lot of bruising and horrible muscle pain as well. The doctor will be calling my Neuro and see what he has to say, but we are thinking I am having small seizures in my sleep. We will see what the next few days bring with different meds and fushing extra fluids through my feeding tube. In the meantime, I am to stay in bed and rest as much as possible with an added seizure medication before bed. I will update more when I know of anything. In the meantime, I ask for prayers and well wishes towards pain relief, seizure free nights, and strength.
