Hi Everyone, back at the AGM we raised the prospect of offering the set up and running of our annual show out to tender. What does this mean? We are looking for a group presumably a likeminded organisation, horse group, pony club, dog club, even car club to put forward a price to run our show for us, that means supplying all the stewards, marshals, canteen staff, office staff etc. to run a successful show. Why, because like many clubs these days we are a small committee and even though we start out arranging the show many of us would also like to show at the event. Many of you would be aware of the difficulties of doing this and running the show on the day. So we propose to offer the tender do those that would like to do this for us. We would expect the group to offer those tasks and roles mentioned above, and the works include setting up the venue, cleaning up after, running the canteen, marshalling and stewarding pretty much all the multitude of roles needed to run a show. We don’t expect this to be for free hence the tender aspect, how much would you carry this work out for? it’s that simple, how much would you charge SAARABS Inc. to do this. We would, of course, overall manage the event but the on the day management would be pretty much up to you (but in consultation with our Show manager). Things to remember, we aren’t rich so please be realistic with your pricing but other than that what you offer to do for us can sometimes be more important than the cheapest price.
