Hi Everyone on Facebook and My friends all over the world, For those of you who know me well you know that Im not one for talking about my age but and this may come as a shock to a lot of you lol but I am actually turning 40 this November so instead of having a big party like my 18th and 30th, I am embarking on one last hard run and I am doing it for charity. This charity is very close to my heart because when I was 11 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour but thankfully after 6 months in hospital I made a full recovery. The charity is Helping Hands The hospital for sick children in Belfast. Also some of you know that I use to be an Ultra Marathon runner and in 2004 I collapsed after finishing a race in Switzerland where my kidneys packed in and I almost died. It took me 1 year to get back to some sort of normality and as a tribute I will be running one last time, It is called Port 2 Port !00km Ultra Marathon Run. I will be starting in Portadown on Friday night at 8pm on the 28th and Finishing about midday in Portrush on Sat 29th. I would love EVERYONE to give a little to my charity and for anyone that has a business and sponsors me I will get you a mention in the Portadown Times when I do my piece for them. Also if there are a few of you that would like to run part of the way with me feel free I will be posting my run route within the next few days. Oh and as a little warm up myself and a few people from work are heading to Dublin on Saturday to compete in Tough Mudder Ireland so I am looking forward to that.
