Hi! First, I would like to thank all those who supported - TopicsExpress

Hi! First, I would like to thank all those who supported Reporma-ACS this elections, I felt how genuine the support is - that people are coming to us even after elections and still express their support - and it is heartwarming. Second, I hope we would all come support and actively participate in this student government we collectively composed through our right to suffrage. What happened during the elections is a reflection on us students - a reflection on what kind of leadership we would like to have in the student government. I fervently pray, especially to those who were elected, that even if we come from different parties, we should set our differences aside and work together. And remember that the SSC is a place where decisions are made: it is not a place for indecisiveness or spinelessness because we have to continue making the student government active in causes and proactive against issues. Finally, the job of the SSC does not end in being in position. Remember that people had entrusted us to work, let us not betray their trust - and with that, be vigilant against evil intentions. On a personal note, this elections and the preparation for it was a whirlwind journey for me. I had to change much of myself, from being an introvert who cannot speak that well into someone like Allan Castro or Charleston Castro (It doesnt necessarily mean I became like them). I had taken much beating from so many events and I unwittingly opened up my vulnerable self just to be transformed into the political person they wanted me to be. What pained me the most upon learning my loss is not because of the loss itself but because I felt like my efforts werent enough to reciprocate the efforts of the people who put me into the standard bearership especially that of my mentor and friend Allan Castro. But despite all those experiences, I learned a lot about myself. I used to view myself as a wasted person... and that explains my surprise upon learning that people appreciate how I do things. Though I still cant be convinced by all the appreciation because I still honestly have a relatively low self-esteem... throughout this journey, from the time Sharon, Kuya Efren, and Lovel interviewed me for COA up to this point, I learned little by little, how to behave better, how to listen better, how to care better, how to think better, how to value peoples contribution better, how to be more productive, and most importantly how to be more humble yet unyielding to wrong. Though thoughts of retiring from the affairs of the KASAMA/SSC had entertained me, I still want to help. With that, I express my intention in returning to the office I came from, the Commission on Audit. Speaking as a child of Reporma-ACS, that is how we are taught to make a difference... even after all this elections, Ill involve myself, I shall return. :) With all seriousness aside, I attribute this song to all of Reporma-ACS 2014 and its supporters as my personal expression of thanks :) youtube/watch?v=DCWXXuOv_So
