Hi Folks! First off, we certainly hope everyone is enjoying summer and getting out and FLYING! After the winter we endured, we all have earned it. Updates to this page have been sparse lately but certainly not due to inactivity at Stanton Airfield… This spring, Regina Harris became President of the airfield. Regina received her private pilot certificate at Stanton and has always been very active around the field. Regina has exciting and new ideas and we are all very excited to have her. A huge thank you to Tom Kuhfeld, the previous president, for all of his hard work the last few years and for keeping Stanton a great place to fly! In May, we received a load of Flight Design CTs, all of which have already been sold. Kent and Bill have been working hard in the shop getting these airplanes assembled, inspected, signed off, test flown, and delivered to their new owners. A group of 4 volunteers are now working to create a great new website for the airport. As many of you know, this kind of undertaking is quite time consuming and tedious, however it will be a huge asset to us and to our customers once completed. When we will be able to release the website is still a bit unclear, but it is being worked on continuously. Check back for updates! Thank you to Tom Rent for maintaining our previous website for many years. We also have instituted a new scheduling system for both instructors and aircraft. Currently, we do not have a link on our current website for students and renters to check availability, so please call us if you would like to make a reservation. We are working on creating a link so that customers can check availability, however this likely wont happen until the release of the new website. Finally, after 24 successful years of the Fathers Day Fly-In, we had to cancel this years event due to high winds, low ceilings, and rain. We will be rescheduling for this September…please check back for updates on that as well! Thank you to everyone for their continued support of this great airfield.
